Who sells the cheapest tires? Walmart or Discount Tires?

I hear that Disount Tires has the cheapest... but I'm also hearing that Walmart has the cheapest too.

Which would be cheaper to get new tires + installation?|||I checked both because I need new tires and I found a difference of $8 per tire with discount tires being the cheapest. BUT Walmart quoted Goodyear tires that were good for 60,000 miles and Discount tires were a brand I never heard of that were good for 40,000 miles. The installation was about the same price.|||25$ at discount tire, for used tire and to put it on the rim that does NOT include balancing you want a cheap USED tire not cheap NEW tire at walmart the cheap used tire will last about the same time the cheap new tire at walmart will. bcuz of the cheap quality|||CHEAP is not always the best route to go.You get what you pay for in this day and age.Cheap tires are just that... cheap, and generally give you alot less wear than a good premium priced tire. Thus, you buy them more often, and also risk inferior warranties as a result of their price.Your life, and those of your loved ones are at stake here.Do you really want to roll the dice on that one.Better to find a good Brand Tire with a good reputation for quality and price an inexpensive tire from them. Then go out and see how much you can save by shopping around with their competitors, and getting the best price for the same brand of tire.Check out lots of places. You never know until you shop around how much money you can really save by doing "your homework".Walmart is a good place to begin your search, but remember not to go for a tire just because it is the cheapest. There are other considerations as well....ie. wear rating, speed rating, steel belts,or polyester belts, warranties, road hazard warranties, reputation, brand names, etc. And be especially careful if it is manufactured abroad ie. CHINA!!!|||Sam's Club is the parent company of Wal-Mart, what's that tell you?

Wal-mart is probably cheaper.

In the time you typed your question you could've already had 1 phone call about price out of the way. Let me know where you live %26amp; I'll call for you. I need Year, Make, Model %26amp; size of rims!! LOL|||Why on earth would you want cheap tires ,for which you relying on to maintain traction ,and safty for you while your in vechicle while braking.Just remember you get what you pay for when it comes to cheap tires and cheap labor (i.e walmart) i would take it to discount tire but dont let the name full you.$165 bucks for a tire for a 05 taurus because they were discontinued.I just would avoid the cheapest tire mainly they make more noise while driving becuause of the cheaper rubber used , the tread doesnt last,I got a good deal at sears for four tires and bought the extended warrenty which was great because i had a blow out and they replaced it.|||Cheap tires are not what you want. Cheap tires can be noisy, have poor sidewall construction, have inferior build quality and lose you some valuable gas mileage. Go directly to the Tire Rack web site. They will prompt you for what kind of car you have and what features you find desirable, i.e. quiet ride, good handling, better in wet, better in dry, cornering, tread wear, etc. You can usually mail order tires that are infinitely better than the ones at Walmart. They will be happy to send you the names of places in your area that will mount and balance them for you, too! Great tires can save your life and provide you with years of comfortable, predictable driving. Do yourself a favor!|||Why don't you call and find out? Compare your prices and everything. Also, Sears is a good place to try.|||I've heard about quite a few problems with the cheap tires at the local Discount Tire. I've used Wal-Mart tires on several cars and never had a quality problem even when using the cheap Douglas brand. Customer service usually sucks...always a long wait, not having tires when they said they did, rude, etc. I've started going to Sears...on some sizes they are not much more ($5-10 per tire) and the customer service has been great.|||Walmart has tires????then obviousily ythey do.but then again it could be discount cuz i've never heard of them.
