How much does it cost to fix a bent rim?

Does discount tire do this? If so how much? Thanks for your help :)|||Discount tire does not repair wheels. There are special companies who specialize in repairing bent aluminum wheels. Look through the advertisement pages in Motor Trend, Road and Track and Car and Driver magazines.

If you have a bent steel wheel go to a car junk yard and buy an inexpensive true turning used replacement for your *particular car. New car dealerships and Frey the Wheel Man can get new steel wheels.|||Depends on the wheel. If it is steel it can often be straightened out with a little "gentle persuasion" from a big hammer. If you go this route you need to make sure there are no air leaks, and you would definitely need to have it balanced before using it. It it is aluminum or some other alloy you are pretty much out of luck.

Chances are your best bet is to buy a new wheel. You can get one from the dealer (expensive as hell) or get one from a junk yard. If you go the junk yard route just make sure the wheel is correct (right bolt pattern, right offset, right width and radius).

I haven't heard of "Discount Tire" but they sound like some national company that probably hires high school kids who don't really know what they are doing. Take it to a local shop. You are going to need to pay for a new wheel or to have this one fixed, have the tire (maybe need to be replaced) mounted and balanced, and then put back on your car. Depending on where you live, if you get new or used parts, and which shop/dealer you choose this could be anywhere between a $25 repair and maybe $200. Choose wisely.|||It depends on you.

Are you going to let the tire company railroad you to buying a new wheel from the dealer, or are you going to take matters into your own hands and buy a wheel from the scrapyard?|||It needs to be replaced. The cost depends on what kind of a wheel it is. They can take care getting you a different one. They will probably get one from a salvage yard.|||I would buy a new (used) one off ebay $50
